Cor Segeren: President
Cor was educated as a psychologist at the University of Nijmegen in The Netherlands. He started his career in Higher Education in 1972 teaching Psychology, Research Methods, Communication and Social Skills. He has since then been vice-director of an Academy, Head of Academic Affairs and International Coordinator. Innovations in Higher Education, International Cooperation and Quality Assurance have always been among his favorite topics. Since 1999 he is senior policy adviser at HAN University of Applied Sciences, with portfolios in International Cooperation, Quality Assurance and Accreditation. In 1990 he was co-founder of COHEHRE and has served the association till 2001 as Treasurer and President. He contributed to several international projects with partners from Europe, Russia, South- East Asia and the U.S.A. He is also since 2004 one of the Dutch Bologna Experts. |

Jennifer Lewis-Smith: Vice president/Secretary
Jennifer is an Occupational Therapist by background.
She worked in practice in a range of Health and Social Care settings for twenty years in the south-west of England before commencing work in Higher Education in 1995.
She is currently employed as Head of Occupational Therapy within the Faculty of Education, Health and Sciences at the University of Derby in the United Kingdom Jennifer works hard to ensure that international influences are included in programme delivery and has been instrumental in establishing links between UK and overseas Universities.
In the past she has also been General Secretary of the European Network of Occupational Therapists in Higher Education and is also currently serving on the COHEHRE Council as General Secretary and Vice President.

Madalena Gomes da SilvaMadalena is a Portuguese physiotherapist. She has completed her PhD at Kings College London.
She works at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal as a coordinating Professor for the School of Health.
Along with her teaching responsibilities in the undergraduate physiotherapy degree, she coordinates the Master in Physiotherapy, she is co-editor of the Journal IFisiOnline and is involved in different international activities at the school (under and postgraduate intensive programmes, curriculum development, amongst others). |

Liisa Koskinen
Liisa is a registered psychiatric nurse by background, PhD since 2003 and Principal Lecturer in Nursing at Savonia University of Applied Sciences in Finland.
She has over 15 years experience in intercultural projects and partnerships with Australian, Canadian, European and US universities. Currently she is working in the cross-cultural CC-APN Project (Cornerstone Course for a European Advance Practice Nurse). Her teaching and curriculum development experience consists of mental health & psychiatric nursing, health promotion, health care management, workforce welfare and cross-cultural communication on bachelor and master programs.
Liisa works in national and international research teams. Her journal publications, textbooks and conference presentations have been connected mainly with intercultural education, cultural competence and methods of learning and teaching in higher education. Liisa was appointed as a Clinical Assistant Professor at University of Utah, College of Nursing in 1997-2007 and Clinical Professor of Nursing at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing 2004-2006.

Filip Dejonckheere: TreasurerFilip started as a lecturer in psychology at the University College Arteveldehogeschool, Ghent, Belgium in different departments of health care education. Within the University College Arteveldehogeschool Ghent, he has the portfolio of developing international interdisciplinary projects within health care and rehabilitation. In this way he has been coordinating more than 50 intensive programmes and international modules in different fields as public health, paediatric rehabilitation, palliative care, empowerment, intercultural competences, creative thinking, etc.
He is currently also responsible for international relations of the Occupational Therapy department.
Within the consortium Filip was responsible for the establishment of the COHEHRE Academy. The mission of the Academy expresses that COHEHRE is not only a network of institutions with an interdisciplinary interest, but also the need to develop an active policy in developing interdisciplinary projects to support student and staff exchange; curriculum development and capacity building.
Since the start of the Academy five Intensive Programmes have started under this impulse and different seminars on capacity building have been organised. |
