| Role Specification for International Coordination
Within Cohehre
The key role for such an individual is to advocate for
Cohehre and its activities.
The consortium was established on the belief that the development
and quality of higher education for the health care professions
would be enhanced by international cooperation, realising
amongst others, an international/European dimension to the
educational activities of its membership.
In order to achieve this Cohehre seeks to establish itself
as a European learning organisation/community. The characteristics
of this are:
- Pursue issues of common interest and practice
- Seek consensus in decision-making processes
- Are empowered
- Rely on one another for information and learning
- See themselves as part of a larger whole
- Support the sharing of divergent ideas
- Respect each other
- Engage in critical reflection
- Engage in constructive change
- Provide opportunities to hear dissenting opinions
- Create a spirit of cooperation
To help achieve this Cohehre Council would like the International
Coordinator to help in the following ways.
- Provide the Council with constructive feedback on how
the Council is doing
- Host new members and mentor them
- Actively support staff - student exchange
- Advocate for Cohehre within their country and institution
- Support Cohehre members in the act of networking, and
project work
- Ensure projects done by Cohehre members are inclusive
of:
- Interprofessional
- Interdisciplinary
- Intercultural
- Interactive
- International (beyond Europe)
- Criteria and aspects
- Provide advice to Council on the development of research,
curriculum and staff development activities.
Council proposes that it will meet with the international
coordinators at every conference.
It may be necessary to meet on another occasion during
the year as well, ie during the project meeting in September.
