What Cohehre Offers

Cohehre offers its members of health and social care the chance to come together in order to stimulate change in the European and home environment with regard to professional health and social care education. Through its activities it seeks not only to disseminate information that is pertinent to its constituency but also to aid mutual understanding of the issues.

Cohehre aids professional development of its membership by supporting exchanges and project work, publishing related papers in the Journal of Allied Health, hosting an annual conference. In the near future it may be possible to also provide weekend workshops and seminars that ensure adequate attention is paid to the more specific issues of concern to its members.

Cohehre is also developing closer working relationships with similar organisations in the global sphere. Such as Nacnah, the North American Consortium of Nursing and Allied Health for International Cooperation and ASAHP the Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions. These alliances and partnerships are important for they can help meet various emerging agendas all of which seem to concern change and challenge.

Europe, higher education and health and social care are changing fast in the globalising world. What will closer European convergence, G.A.T. agreements and commercialisation bring to us all only time will tell. Cohehre is here to help colleagues find ways of managing and finding solutions to the challenges that lay ahead.
